About The Position

The Partnership Development Liaison role is an outreach and development specialist who leads CSD’s growth into new markets and grows market share in those markets. This role is responsible for building relationships with referral sources, including with payers, physician groups, and community/parent sources, and growing CSD’s market share as a result. This individual will drive the organization’s new client referral goals, targeted goals by premium funding sources, revenue growth, and reputation building through meaningful engagement and collaboration.

Requirements

  • Experience working in a highly autonomous environment and initiating proactive outreach to prospective partners; persistence and continued follow-up is a must
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in business development, sales, partnerships, fundraising, or community relations
  • Proven track record of securing partnerships and revenue-generating opportunities
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships across diverse sectors and populations
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical, planning, and organizational abilities
  • Passion for community engagement, social impact, and advancing inclusive growth

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in health care business development/sales; behavioral health and/or applied behavioral analysis preferred
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), referral management processes, and external provider engagement
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Public Relations, Communications, Healthcare, or a related field or relevant experience

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to drive growth through partnerships, primarily via referral sources of payers, physical groups, and new partnership opportunities in the community
  • Work closely and collaborate with regional leaders to expand the operating team’s contacts (case manager, etc.) into higher level and more referral-based contacts across the state
  • Develop connections with each primary market payer and grow CSD’s share of market through active referral management and cultivation strategies (regular meetings with payors, assessing where payer pain points exit that CSD can solve, etc.)
  • Identify a state map of top diagnosing physicians and develop outreach campaigns to convert physicians, physician groups into referrals into CSD.
  • Measure and grow referrals by top physician
  • Actively work with intake and data teams to assess physician referrals and to expand our market share
  • Actively develop relationships with the children’s hospitals, Autism Centers, and the top places families seek care within the state to develop referral pipelines and networks into CSD
  • Identify and evaluate potential partnerships, regional markets, and referral sources to align outreach activities to optimize outcomes and referral opportunities
  • Lead outreach efforts to community partners, foundations, local advocacy groups, and public agencies
  • Create and delivery compelling proposals, presentations, and materials for key business development and community engagement opportunities
  • Analyzing results and adjusting playbook by referral source
  • Track and analyze business development metrics, pipeline performance, and ROI of growth initiatives
  • Be the go-to partners with the regional operating team to identify referrals in needed markets and to boost regional outreach efforts across the state
  • Ensure best practices in the field of outreach and across CSD are implemented
  • Tailor outreach strategies by payor, physician group as needed
  • Develop and update the referral playbook to capture the unique referral workflows, contacts, and processes that are effective by payor, as those differ by payer and by region
  • Report on referral generation by state and by payer, key physician group monthly and ensure growth of top referral sources for CSD
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the organization and key community stakeholders, including nonprofits that focus on ASD services, civic leaders, neighborhood groups, and advocacy organizations
  • Design and lead engagement initiatives that foster trust, visibility, and impact within the community, including partnering with regional operating teams to attend and be visible at local events
  • Organize and participate in events, roundtables, and public forums to represent the organization and build strategic relationships
  • Develop communication strategies that effectively tell the organization’s story and highlight its community impact
  • Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to align messaging and amplify outreach
