About The Position

This role is the day-to-day manager of a massive recruitment operation of low-turnout voters. You own the mechanics and processes of getting folks signed up at the direction of the Associate Director of Partnerships. You'll build and maintain recruitment forms in our platform Rally, run the SMS sends that drive people to them, and write recruitment copy. The effectiveness of our programs depends on whether we can find, reach, and convert a very large universe of low-propensity voters. This is the role that turns that goal into forms, sends, and signups. This is a hands-on execution role with real ownership. You'll be the person who knows the status of every form and every send, who spots when recruitment is falling behind pace, and who proposes the copy change or list change to fix it. You'll work closely with our digital marketing, participant experience, and client teams, and directly with partner organizations who need to see and approve what's going out under their name. This is a full-time cycle role with an end date of November 15th, 2026.

Requirements

  • 2–3 years of experience in large scale peer-to-peer texting programs, organizing, digital organizing, or campaign field operations.
  • Strong writing skills, especially for SMS and short-form recruitment copy — you can be clear, human, and persuasive in 160 characters.
  • Hands-on experience with SMS texting tools (Scale to Win, Spoke, Hustle, Switchboard, or similar).
  • Familiarity with startup-style tech platforms, or strong interest and willingness to learn and build within new tech structures.
  • Comfortable managing high-volume, time-sensitive outreach and juggling multiple concurrent sends, clients, and deadlines without dropping details.
  • Comfortable working with numbers — able to read a recruitment dashboard or spreadsheet, spot what's underperforming, and act on it.
  • Detail-oriented with a QA instinct.
  • A commitment to expanding participation among voters, and comfort working on programs where the audience is people new to political engagement.
  • Self-directed in a remote environment. Access to a computer, reliable internet, and a workspace that supports focused, deadline-driven work.
  • Availability to flex hours during high-volume recruitment and event periods, including some evenings and weekends as we approach November.

Nice To Haves

  • Spanish/English bilingual skills are a plus, as is experience recruiting in Texas or comparable Sun Belt states.

Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and QA recruitment forms and UTMs in Rally for multiple clients, making sure every form is tested, tracked, and live when it needs to be.
  • Own the recruitment SMS calendar end to end: help build and segment audience lists, draft and schedule sends, monitor delivery, and manage opt-outs and replies.
  • Write and continuously iterate recruitment copy across SMS, forms, reminder sequences, and other participant-facing touchpoints, testing variations and keeping what works.
  • Track recruitment performance against goals, including signups, conversion rate by source, and pace against target. When we're off, you're the one who catches it early and brings a recommendation about what to change.
  • Coordinate with partner organizations and clients on copy review, voice, and send timing, turning around revisions quickly and keeping approvals from becoming a bottleneck.
  • Maintain clean documentation of setups, naming conventions, and send history so the work is repeatable, auditable, and easy to hand off.
  • Follow SMS and data compliance requirements, including consent, opt-out handling, and any client- or state-specific rules.
  • Provide support inbox coverage as needed, especially during high-volume periods.
  • Provide Voter Protection support during high-volume events.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as they arise, with the expectation that your day-to-day mix of work will shift with program needs.
