About The Position

As a Starbucks partner resources manager, you serve as a strategic human resources business partner, trusted advisor, and advocate for both partners and business leaders, delivering Partner Resources strategies, programs, and services that support partner success and drive business results. Guided by Starbucks Mission, Values, and Guiding Principles, you consult, coach, and collaborate with leaders to strengthen organizational effectiveness, build leadership capability, foster high-performing teams, and elevate the partner experience while aligning people strategies with enterprise priorities and business objectives.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of progressive Human Resources experience in a generalist, business partner, or specialist capacity.
  • 3+ years of experience consulting with leaders to diagnose business challenges and develop people-focused solutions that improve business outcomes.
  • 3+ years of people leadership or leadership influence experience, including coaching, developing, and guiding leaders through complex organizational and partner matters.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted partnerships, navigate ambiguity, leverage data to inform decisions, and influence outcomes across multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Must be based in Minneapolis, MN or Kansas City, KS/MO.
  • Expected to regularly travel to coffeehouses.

Responsibilities

  • Build strong relationships with business leaders, Partner Resources Centers of Excellence, and cross-functional teams to understand business priorities, identify opportunities, and deliver people solutions that drive business performance and partner experience.
  • Serve as a trusted advocate for partners by listening to concerns, navigating complex partner relations matters, and connecting partners and leaders with resources, benefits, and programs that support engagement, development, and well-being.
  • Execute Partner Resources strategies, initiatives, and programs that align with enterprise priorities while addressing the unique needs of the region. Use data, insights, and workforce trends to support organizational effectiveness and business results.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders by providing proactive coaching and guidance on talent strategy, organizational planning, partner relations, performance management, employment practices, and policy interpretation. Influence decisions that strengthen leadership effectiveness, enhance partner engagement and retention, build organizational capability, and ensure a strong succession pipeline.
