Partner Program Lead (U.S.)

beehiiv
•$130,000 - $160,000

About The Position

beehiiv is hiring a Partner Program Lead to turn its developing partner program into a significant revenue channel, with a particular focus on agencies that manage newsletters, email, and podcasts for multiple clients. The role owns the agency partner motion end to end: defining the partner profile, attracting and recruiting partners, shaping offers, closing agreements, and helping partners succeed after signing. Affiliates, creators, and other referrers will remain in the program, with the role responsible for keeping that side healthy and automated through Dub. The position is initially a team of one, supported by lifecycle, product marketing, growth engineering, sales, and finance. In the first six months, the work is expected to be approximately 65% partner marketing and agency recruitment, closing, and growth; 25% partner enablement and support; and 10% program design, reporting, and operations. The balance may change as the company grows. The Partner Program Lead will build the program’s strategy and execution, including partner positioning and recruiting campaigns, onboarding and activation, partner enablement, relationship management, support processes, attribution and payouts, and performance reporting. The goal is to establish agencies as a channel beehiiv can plan around, grow partner-sourced recurring revenue, and develop a repeatable playbook for agencies bringing clients to beehiiv.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in partnerships, channel, marketing, or business development at a B2B SaaS company.
  • Experience recruiting, closing, and growing agency partners for at least some portion of the candidate’s career.
  • Demonstrated growth of partner-sourced revenue, with the ability to explain the work step by step; experience carrying a revenue target or similar responsibility.
  • Full-stack partner experience spanning pitch writing, deck creation, webinars, deal closing, partner onboarding, and resolving payout issues.
  • Experience building or materially changing partner program tiers, incentives, attribution, and payout mechanics, with an understanding of tradeoffs among commissions, margin, and partner quality.
  • Operational discipline, including maintaining a clean CRM, a real pipeline, reliable forecasts, and dashboards built independently or with a partner platform.
  • An AI-native approach to work, with workflows built for prospecting, research, enablement content, and reporting.
  • Ability to work independently and build and execute a partner channel without a pre-existing brief or dedicated partner team.

  • Familiarity with partner platforms such as Dub or PartnerStack.

Responsibilities

  • Validate the agency partner ideal customer profile and develop the messaging, assets, and story used to recruit partners.

  • Coordinate with Support so routine tracking, payout, and terms questions are handled appropriately; escalate complex issues and involve growth engineering and finance when needed.
  • Keep the affiliate and creator program healthy and automated, including tiers, bonuses, attribution rules, payout accuracy in Dub, and compliance with program terms.
  • Report on partner-sourced and partner-influenced MRR, conversion lag, activation rate, 90-day partner retention, and cohort LTV relative to other channels.
