The Partner Engagement & Events Corporate Fundraising Intern at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston will be part of the External Relations team, which is responsible for marketing, PR, communications, fundraising and most importantly building lasting relationships with the Museum’s diverse constituents. The role will fall more specifically within the Marketing and Communications team, which oversees fundraising for Corporate Relations. We seek an enthusiastic intern to assist with our comprehensive communications, events, and stewardship program that connects the Museum with its diverse corporate constituents. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Corporate Relations and the Program Manager for Corporate Partners, the intern will support corporate communications initiatives with a focus on current partner stewardship and event-related engagement. This intern will assist in drafting, managing, and executing a range of communications materials, including stewardship updates, renewal messaging, event invitations, and benefit fulfillment content, ensuring consistent, high-quality partner-facing messaging and support. They will also be responsible for the execution of partner events and the ownership of a SharePoint-based calendar system. By the end of the internship, the intern will have created a comprehensive calendar of corporate communications and events that will serve to support a year’s worth of partner stewardship. They will develop a strong foundation in corporate fundraising communications, with particular experience in stewarding existing corporate partners and supporting event-based engagement strategies. They will also build skills in writing and editing a variety of communications and coordinating timelines for stewardship and event deliverables with Microsoft software. The role will provide hands-on experience supporting corporate events, including preparing materials, assisting with logistics, and contributing to post-event follow-up communications. Additionally, the internship will strengthen attention to detail, project management, and collaboration skills while offering insight into how strategic communications and events support corporate partnership retention and growth.
