About The Position

The Community Engagement & Events Intern supports the planning and execution of community initiatives, in-store events, sponsorship activations, and local partnerships that bring the Gardner White brand to life. Working alongside the Director of Community Engagement & Events, this role provides hands-on experience in event marketing, community relations, brand activation, and project coordination. The ideal candidate is creative, organized, energetic, and passionate about creating memorable customer experiences while making a positive impact in the communities Gardner White serves.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Event Management, Hospitality, Business, or a related field.
Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and take initiative.
Experience with Microsoft Office; Canva experience preferred.

Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Research local organizations, schools, nonprofits, and community events for partnership opportunities.
Maintain community partnership calendars and contact databases.
Assist with outreach, correspondence, and relationship management.
Support volunteer initiatives and charitable programs.
Assist in planning and coordinating grand openings, in-store events, customer appreciation events, and seasonal activations.
Prepare event materials including signage, giveaways, registration materials, and branded merchandise.
Coordinate vendors, event logistics, and timelines.
Assist with event setup, execution, and breakdown, including occasional evenings and weekends.
Maintain project timelines, checklists, and event calendars.
Track inventory of event supplies and branded materials.
Support cross-functional meetings and planning sessions.
Assist with miscellaneous projects that support the Communications + Design team.
