About The Position

This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing a wide range of internal and external events. This includes overseeing logistics for member events, such as vendor communication, event set-up, volunteer coordination, and arranging swag and activities. The role also involves managing employee events like holiday activities, giveaways, and treat days, along with maintaining and updating both the Community Event Calendar and the Employee Event Calendar on the HUB and marketing platforms. The Events & Community Engagement Specialist will also manage sponsorships and community partnerships. This includes overseeing sponsorship agreements, maintaining relationships with community organizations like local chambers of commerce, and coordinating Wyoming Athletics partnerships such as ticket giveaways, on-court presentations, and game sponsorships. Additionally, this role supports financial literacy events, auto dealership events, and other community-focused initiatives that align with UniWyo’s mission. Operationally, the Specialist will manage event planning and tracking using tools like Monday.com, ensuring projects stay on schedule and within budget. They will also oversee the marketing email inbox to maintain timely communication, manage inventory for swag and giveaways, and provide administrative support to ensure seamless execution of all engagement initiatives. Annual event planning and execution will also be a critical responsibility, ensuring UniWyo’s activities align with strategic goals and community needs. Performs a combination of correspondence related functions. Types letters, memoranda, reports and other materials from drafts or as instructed. Compiles information and routes to appropriate departments. Responsible for compliance with the Bank Secrecy and Anti Money Laundering Acts including monitoring for such illegal activity as it applies to this position. Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of applicable credit union rules, ordinances, codes, regulations, administrative orders, case law and other governing rules and regulations.
  • Knowledge of the UniWyo FCU policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of the principles of file and records management.
  • Knowledge of social media platforms.
  • Knowledge of marketing principles, theories, and practices.
  • Skill in reading, understanding, interpreting and applying relevant city, county, state and Federal statutes, rules, ordinances, codes, regulations, administrative orders, case law and other governing rules and regulations.
  • Skill in positive interpersonal communication.
  • Skill in assessing and prioritizing multiple tasks, projects and demands.
  • Skill in working within deadlines to complete projects and assignments.
  • Skill in assessing, analyzing, identifying and implementing solutions to complex problems.
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relations with co-workers, other UniWyo FCU employees, representatives from other credit unions, the news media, general public and/or others having business with the UniWyo FCU.
  • Skill in operating a personal computer utilizing a variety of software and operating systems/applications.
  • Skill in using publishing software to design, develop and publish marketing material.
  • An associate’s degree in marketing, business, finance, accounting or closely related field AND two (2) years of relevant marketing, advertising, media, promotions, sales or closely related experience OR any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
