About The Position

Succeed. is seeking an experienced, relationship-driven Community Engagement & Events Manager to help expand awareness of its programs and expertise, strengthen community partnerships, grow referral networks, and create meaningful learning and engagement opportunities for families, educators, professionals, supporters, and community members. The Community Engagement & Events Manager plays a vital role in expanding the organization's reach, visibility, and impact through educational programming, community engagement, referral network development, and events. This position is responsible for planning and coordinating workshops, lunch and learns, community events, supporter engagement activities, and outreach initiatives that strengthen awareness, expand referral pathways, and deepen relationships with families, educators, professionals, supporters, and community partners. The Community Engagement & Events Manager serves as a bridge between the organization and the communities it serves, helping translate expertise into meaningful learning experiences while building the relationships that support growth, engagement, and impact.

Requirements

  • A post-secondary degree or diploma in Education, Adult Education, Community Development, Communications, Event Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of progressively responsible experience in community engagement, education, event management, partnership development, outreach, program coordination, or related field.
  • Demonstrated experience planning and coordinating workshops, presentations, events, learning experiences, or community engagement initiatives.
  • Experience building and maintaining relationships with community organizations, professional networks, or external stakeholders.
  • Experience facilitating learning opportunities, presentations, workshops, or group experiences for diverse audiences.
  • Experience managing multiple projects, priorities, and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and take ownership of projects and outcomes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Eligibility to work in Canada.
  • Criminal record check with vulnerable sector screening.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in nonprofit, education, community-based, healthcare, or mission-driven organizations is considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, event management platforms, project management software, learning management systems, and virtual meeting platforms is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support the delivery of workshops, presentations, webinars, and educational events.
  • Facilitate selected workshops and presentations where appropriate.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to translate knowledge into accessible and engaging learning experiences.
  • Support the development of educational resources, materials, and learning opportunities for families, educators, professionals, and community members.
  • Contribute to the development of scalable learning products, including online modules, recorded workshops, and professional learning resources.
  • Support initiatives that increase understanding of neurodiversity, learning differences, inclusive education, and related topics.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with professionals and organizations that refer learners and families to programs and services.
  • Expand engagement with psychologists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, counsellors, school-based teams, independent schools, libraries, community organizations, and other key referral partners.
  • Coordinate outreach initiatives that increase awareness of programs and services throughout British Columbia and Canada.
  • Develop and maintain systems for tracking referral partners, stewardship, and engagement.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen partnerships and expand referral pathways.
  • Support long-term relationship development with community partners and professional networks.
  • Lead planning and execution of workshops, presentations, community events, awareness initiatives, and outreach activities.
  • Coordinate logistics, including registration systems, participant communications, venues, materials, speakers, schedules, and event timelines.
  • Develop and maintain systems and processes that support consistent, high-quality event delivery.
  • Coordinate event evaluations and participant feedback processes.
  • Ensure events align with organizational goals, participant needs, and brand standards.
  • Represent the organization at community events, conferences, and outreach opportunities where appropriate.
  • Work closely with the Advancement Manager to support the planning and execution of RISE to the Top and other supporter engagement events.
  • Coordinate logistics, attendee experience, volunteer engagement, community participation, and event-related communications.
  • Support stewardship activities that strengthen relationships with donors, sponsors, supporters, and community partners.
  • Help identify opportunities to increase participation, awareness, and engagement through events and community experiences.
  • Collaborate with the advancement and communications team to ensure events align with the organization's broader goals and priorities.
  • Manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously.
  • Coordinate timelines, resources, communications, and deliverables across educational, outreach, partnership, and event initiatives.
  • Establish and maintain systems that support efficient planning and delivery of workshops, events, referral initiatives, and community engagement activities.
  • Work collaboratively across departments to ensure initiatives are coordinated and impactful.
  • Track outcomes, participation, and engagement metrics to support continuous improvement.
  • Tasks outside of those explicitly outlined may be expected during times of increased needs.

Benefits

  • Salary range: $60,000 to $63,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications
  • $1,000 RRSP contribution for 2026. For reference, our organization is currently researching whether and how we may participate in retirement savings/pension plan options. Updates on this may be offered during the interview process.
