About The Position

Arbour Counseling Services’ Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) offers a clinical internship beginning in May 2027. The internship provides training and supervision in the role and responsibilities of a counselor or therapist within a multidisciplinary behavioral healthcare system. Interns gain clinical experience in a setting focused on quality care and documentation, with the goal of preparing them to provide meaningful care in future positions. The internship includes experience with groups, intakes, case management, and crisis management. Interns receive regular in-services, weekly supervision with an independently licensed behavioral health provider (LICSW or LMHC), access to additional supervision, and professional development support, including help balancing work, life, and school. The program also provides ongoing review of internship goals, recordkeeping feedback, and evaluation forms required by Arbour and the student’s academic program. The position is unpaid and on-site. Interns must be available 24 hours per week, three days a week from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dates are determined by the Director. Interns may take up to four weeks of vacation during the year, subject to approval and coordination with the Director. PHP is closed on major holidays and is open on the days before and after them; interns are not guaranteed those adjacent days off.
