About The Position

Arbour Counseling Services’ Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) offers a clinical internship beginning in January 2027. The program provides training and supervision to students learning the role and responsibilities of a counselor or therapist within a multidisciplinary behavioral healthcare system. Interns gain clinical experience in a setting focused on quality care and documentation. The yearlong program offers experience with groups, intakes, case management, and crisis management, along with regular in-services and professional development. Interns receive weekly supervision from an independently licensed behavioral health provider (LICSW or LMHC), as well as access to additional supervision from supervisors and clinicians. The program also provides support for balancing work, life, and school during and beyond the placement. The internship is unpaid and on-site. Interns are expected to be available 24 hours per week over three days, with a stated schedule of 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Dates are determined by the Director to support the clinical experience. The role includes required staff meetings, an orientation session, and agency-wide intern workshops. Interns may take up to four weeks of vacation during the year, subject to approval by the Director. The PHP closes on major holidays, but interns are not guaranteed time off on the days immediately before or after holidays.
