Part-Time Temporary Instructor, Workforce Education Welding Technology
About The Position
The PT welding instructor performs duties related to delivering instruction, evaluation, and preparation of welders in a learning environment. Topics include, but are not limited to: SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, FCAW, shop safety, equipment usage and set-up, fabrication, weld symbols, codes, standards, and testing. Serve as the primary instructor for welding courses. Provide in-person instruction as well as maintain accurate records of attendance, class completion, and evaluations. Coordinate regularly with the appropriate Coordinator or Director to evaluate and improve course quality.
Requirements
- American Welding Society (AWS) welding certification or other current welder qualification issued by the American Welding Society (AWS)
- At least (3) three years of professional welding experience required.
Nice To Haves
- Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in welding or welding technology
- AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) and/or Certified Welding Educator (CWE)
