About The Position

The Part-Time Summer 2026 Intern - Mechanical Engineering (Broward, FL) role applies academic knowledge to real‑world technical challenges by supporting consulting teams on a variety of projects within an assigned technical discipline. This role works alongside experienced technical professionals to assist with research, analysis, documentation, and project support activities that contribute to the successful delivery of client and internal initiatives. The Technical Services intern gains exposure to technical consulting work, multidisciplinary collaboration, and the project lifecycle while supporting tasks such as data analysis, technical evaluations, research, and preparation of technical materials. This role provides hands‑on learning opportunities in a professional consulting environment. This role works under close supervision with regular guidance from more experienced colleagues or supervisors.

Requirements

  • Ability to organize information, maintain documentation, track tasks, and pay attention to detail when completing assigned work.
  • Basic written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly share information, ask questions, and document notes or action items.
  • Ability to apply academic knowledge to practical, real‑world technical challenges.
  • Familiarity with technical, scientific, or data analysis tools relevant to the assigned discipline, with a willingness to learn new tools.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, collaborate with others, and contribute positively in a collaborative technical environment.

  • Must be enrolled for the 2025–2026 academic year and plan to continue in Fall 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross‑functional and multidisciplinary teams to support project planning and execution.
  • Support day-to-day activities within assigned projects and/or functional area.
  • Participate in internal and external meetings by taking notes, tracking action items, and supporting follow‑up activities.
  • Perform technical or support tasks within assigned functional area and technical specialty in support of project and team needs.
  • Successfully manage and deliver assignments on time.
  • Perform a variety of technical and operational tasks assigned to support evolving business and team needs.
