About The Position

CEMCO is excited to welcome interns to our 2025 Summer Internship Program, offering hands-on experience at our City of Industry facility. This program provides students and recent graduates with the opportunity to work alongside industry professionals, tackling real-world technical challenges in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Interns will gain valuable experience in machine maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, and process improvement, helping to support CEMCO’s operations. Our internship program is designed to provide practical, hands-on experience while promoting professional growth. Interns will develop technical skills, collaborate with experienced engineers and technicians, and contribute to key projects that enhance facility efficiency and performance.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Basic understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Eagerness to learn and take initiative in a hands-on environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)

Responsibilities

  • Assist with design and development of manufacturing equipment, including support for new accessory machines.
  • Create and update part drawings, layouts, and documentation.
  • Support the implementation of an accumulator system and other process improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Machine Shop and Maintenance teams on equipment setup and troubleshooting.
  • Observe and analyze current processes to identify opportunities for efficiency and automation.
  • Participate in special projects as assigned by the Engineering and Machine Shop teams.
  • Prepare weekly progress updates, culminating in a final presentation.
