About The Position

This vital role involves providing comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and education for patients of all ages. The position also includes essential clinical supervision for Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners and contributing to agency policies for prescribers.

Requirements

• Medical degree with completed residency in child, adolescent, or adult psychiatry.
• Active New York State Medical License and DEA registration.
• Minimum of one year of experience working with both adults and children in a mental health setting.

Nice To Haves

• Board-eligible or board-certified psychiatrist.
• Experience working with populations suffering from addiction.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for patients of all ages, including children and adolescents.
• Provide medication management and education.
• Provide clinical supervision for one full-time and two part-time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners.
• Help shape agency policies for prescribers.
• Engage in interdisciplinary team conferences.
• Provide crisis intervention when needed.
