About The Position
A family in Chicago, IL 60641 is seeking an experienced and compassionate Nanny for their two children, ages 2 and 7 years old. The schedule is Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM CT, totaling 12 hours per week. There is an opportunity for additional babysitting, weekend, overnight, and future hours. The family lives in a smoke-free and pet-free home.
Requirements
- Previous professional childcare experience required
- First Aid/CPR certifications required
- Must be able to reliably commute with a valid driver's license, insurance, and reliable vehicle capable of transporting two children
- Proactive, dependable, trustworthy, and punctual demeanor
- Proof of legal authorization to work in the United States
- All candidates will be subject to a background check.
Nice To Haves
- Open to occasional overnight and weekend care is a plus
Responsibilities
- School pickup and transportation to activities/home
- Supervision, play, and age-appropriate activities
- Prepare healthy snacks and simple dinners (food allergy aware)
- Evening and bedtime routines
- Light child-related housekeeping (kitchen and common areas used during the shift)
- Ensure the children's safety and well-being
