About The Position

IndeVets is reimagining the role of an associate veterinarian by offering sustainable career paths that prioritize well-being. As a part-time associate veterinarian working 1-3 days per week, you will have control over your schedule, with a dedicated coordinator building your schedule in advance. IndeVets handles scheduling, logistics, and coordination, allowing you to focus on practicing medicine. You will have a guaranteed salary with the option to earn more through additional shifts, which can be paid out or converted to PTO. You will practice in various trusted hospital settings, gaining diverse clinical experience while maintaining the stability of a single employer. The role emphasizes clinical autonomy with a focus on patient care, not numbers, and offers support through medical leadership, mentorship, a collaborative community, and access to a veterinary social worker. Opportunities for ongoing CE and professional development are also provided.

Requirements

• DVM or VMD from an AVMA-accredited program (or equivalent)
• Active license (or ability to obtain)
• DEA + controlled substance license (as applicable)
• 1+ year of clinical experience in a small animal setting
• Confidence practicing independently
• Strong communication and client relationship skills

Nice To Haves

• GP, ER, or urgent care experience
• Internship training
