About The Position

A warm family in East Midtown, Manhattan, is seeking a kind, nurturing, and engaging part-time Nanny/Mother’s Helper to care for their 16-month-old daughter and provide light household support. The child is curious and active, and the role emphasizes attentive, developmentally appropriate care, hands-on play, and supporting her learning and independence. The position combines childcare with child-related tidying, laundry, and simple cooking for the child; cooking or meal preparation for the family is preferred. The mother is a stay-at-home parent. The nanny should be comfortable taking direction, communicating openly, and collaborating within a close-knit family environment. A separate housekeeper handles deep cleaning. The family has a hypoallergenic Cockapoo, and the candidate should be comfortable around the dog. The general schedule is Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday may also be an option; Sundays may be considered instead of Saturdays for the right candidate. Local candidates only. The family offers $40 or more per hour, commensurate with experience and cooking ability.
