About The Position

Highgate Hotels is hiring a part-time maintenance employee to assist with hotel equipment operation, maintenance, and repairs. The role includes preventive maintenance and repairs across guest rooms, kitchens, laundry facilities, HVAC systems, meeting rooms, pools, and hot tubs. The employee also responds to alarms, reports findings to the Front Desk, and performs other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license for the applicable state.
• Acceptable motor vehicle driving record, as required by the property.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a hotel or related field.
• License in a trade such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or carpentry.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment.
• Change light bulbs and perform preventive maintenance in guest rooms, including vinyl repairs, paint touch-ups, minor furniture repairs, tub caulking, and tile repairs.
• Perform preventive maintenance on ice machines, refrigerators, kitchen and laundry equipment, HVAC systems, guest rooms, meeting rooms, swimming pools, and hot tubs.
• Perform plumbing and laundry equipment repairs and preventive maintenance on exhaust fans and supply systems.
• Monitor energy conservation.
• Repair vacuum cleaners and other small equipment upon request.
• Respond immediately to alarms to determine their location and cause, assess emergency status, and report findings to the Front Desk.
• Perform other tasks and jobs as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
