About The Position

Highgate is hiring a part-time Maintenance associate to assist with the operation, maintenance, and repair of hotel equipment and property systems. The role includes guest-room upkeep and preventive maintenance across hotel facilities, including kitchens, laundry areas, HVAC systems, meeting rooms, pools, and hot tubs. The associate also responds to alarms, reports findings to the Front Desk, monitors energy conservation, and performs other assigned tasks.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license for the applicable state.
• Acceptable property-specific Motor Vehicle Driving Record (MVR).

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a hotel or related field.
• License in a trade such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or carpentry.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment.
• Change light bulbs and perform preventive maintenance in guest rooms, including vinyl repair, paint touch-ups, minor furniture repair, tub caulking, and tile repairs.
• Perform preventive maintenance on ice machines, refrigerators, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, HVAC systems, guest rooms, meeting rooms, swimming pools, and hot tubs.
• Perform plumbing and laundry equipment repairs.
• Perform preventive maintenance on exhaust fans and supply systems.
• Monitor energy conservation.
• Repair vacuum cleaners and other small equipment upon request.
• Follow up immediately on alarms to identify their location and cause, determine emergency status, and report findings to the Front Desk.
• Perform other tasks or jobs as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
