About The Position

Eastern Michigan University’s GameAbove College of Engineering and Technology is hiring lecturers in engineering technology and construction management to deliver programs in the People’s Republic of China. Each position is a 12-month appointment, including teaching during the Fall and Winter academic terms and a guaranteed summer appointment. The initial appointment is for one year and may be renewed based on performance evaluation and availability of funds. The position requires being physically in China for most of the year.

Lecturers will teach undergraduate courses and hold scheduled weekly office hours, advise students, conduct research at EMU, and provide assessment reports. They will support program assessment and accreditation and participate in student recruitment, registration, orientation, convocations, commencements, departmental meetings, and other departmental functions. Related departmental duties may also be assigned.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Mechanical, Computer, or Product Design Engineering or Engineering Technology, or in Construction Management; candidates in closely related fields will be considered.
• Candidates with an MS degree and significant industrial experience will also be considered.

Nice To Haves

• Teaching experience with college-level courses and/or industrial experience is strongly desired.

Responsibilities
