Department of Music - Part-Time Lecturer Pool
About The Position
California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB) is seeking candidates for a Part-Time Lecturer Pool in the Department of Music. This position involves teaching lower-division and upper-division undergraduate courses, which are typically 1, 2, or 3 units each. Courses are held twice a week on the San Bernardino campus during the Fall and Spring semesters (15 weeks each). Instructors are responsible for preparing their own syllabi, assignments, classroom activities, lecture materials, and grading rubrics, adhering to department guidelines. Additionally, instructors will hold limited office hours to assist students with coursework, questions, and advice.
Requirements
- Master of Arts degree in Music, or a suitably related discipline.
- Candidates with compensating industry experience will also be considered.
- Degree in hand by time of appointment (MA in Music, or equivalent/suitably related discipline).
- Demonstration of teaching experience at a higher education level.

Responsibilities
- Prepare syllabi, assignments, classroom activities, lecture materials, and grading rubrics.
- Teach assigned courses following department guidelines.

- Work collaboratively and effectively with other faculty, staff, and students.
