About The Position

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Part-Time Lecturer Pool. We welcome applications from individuals who are experienced and student centered to teach all subjects related to Mechanical Engineering. This is a pool of part-time lecturers for the department to draw on as necessary. Qualified applicants will be contacted when positions are available. Appointments from the part-time pool are temporary and often made just prior to the start of the academic term. Applicants must be available on very short notice.

Requirements

• MS degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field with at least two years industry experience in engineering field, and demonstrated experience in related field
• Able to document their excellent academic preparation in Mechanical Engineering along with current experience in industry
• Proficiency with online teaching strategies and approaches may further enhance an applicant’s candidacy
• Candidates should demonstrate their ability to interact and work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse range of students, including first-generation college students

Nice To Haves

• A Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Experience in working with diverse population and fostering a collaborative, supportive and inclusive environment.
• Relevant work experience and those who bring professional capabilities.
