About The Position

The Doctorate in Educational Leadership Program at California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB) is seeking dynamic, equity-centered educators to serve as part-time Adjunct Lecturers. The successful candidates will be responsible for delivering doctoral-level instruction that aligns with program standards, providing mentoring and coaching to students, and collaborating with university and community partners to support student success and continuous program improvement. CSUSB is a preeminent center of intellectual and cultural activity in the Inland Empire, serving approximately 19,000 students and is a federally recognized minority-serving and Hispanic-serving institution. Requirements

  • Earned a relevant Doctorate (Ed.D. or Ph.D.) in related fields specific to the program or in an appropriate discipline from an accredited institution of higher education.
  • Experienced practitioner in theory, research, policy, or practice related to P-12 or community college / higher educational leadership.
  • Expertise relevant to the program.
  • Commitment to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in education.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Availability for weekend instruction (Friday evening and Saturday day)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience teaching in a related graduate or doctoral education program
  • Familiarity with Canvas or similar learning management systems and other technologies to support hybrid or online instruction
  • Experience mentoring educators
  • Evidence of scholarly activity, publication, and innovation is valued.
  • Evidence of exemplary graduate-level teaching and leadership experience at program level is preferred and should be noted in application.

Responsibilities

  • Teach assigned doctoral-level courses aligned with program standards
  • Provide academic guidance to program candidates
  • Support candidates in completing required program tasks and assessments
  • Assess and provide actionable feedback on student assignments
  • Collaborate with program faculty and community partners
  • Participate in program events, candidate orientations, and required trainings
  • Use Canvas LMS and other technologies to support hybrid or online instruction
  • Uphold the mission and vision of the program
  • Model culturally responsive and equity-centered educational practices
