Part-Time Instructor - Defensive Driving - Bilingual English/Spanish
About The Position
The National Safety Council is seeking part-time instructors to teach Defensive Driving Course (DDC) curriculum to adult and teen students. Instructors teach classroom courses about safe driving to a variety of motorists, including people required by a state or court to attend a driver retraining program. Full instructor certification training and materials are provided to qualified candidates. Classes may be held on weekdays, weekends, and evenings, and last four to eight hours depending on the curriculum. Instructors choose their own schedules and may teach as much or as little as they want. Applicants are considered for a pool of potential instructors through continuous recruitment.
Requirements
- Experience in public speaking and the ability to lead effective classroom discussions with a diverse group of students.
- A background in sociology, psychology, counseling, or education.
- A personal email address for electronic communication with the Instructor Portal and DDC Information Highway.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities
