About The Position

The College of Southern Nevada (CSN) is seeking a Part-Time Instructor for Slot Technology for the FY 2026 academic year. This role involves delivering instruction for Slot Technology courses, including lectures and hands-on lab sessions covering slot machine systems, electronics, and troubleshooting. The instructor will develop course materials, evaluate student mastery of technical skills, and provide academic and career advisement within the gaming and electronics industry. Responsibilities also include maintaining laboratory equipment and participating in college recruitment and outreach activities. Requirements

  • 5 years of work-related experience OR Applied Science degree in Engineering Technologies or equivalent degree

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited College/University
  • 1-year full time teaching experience
  • Experience working with a diverse/multicultural student body and/or workforce
  • Knowledge of computer classroom technologies
  • Knowledge of Canvas or other Learning Management Systems

Responsibilities

  • Lecture and/or lab instruction for Slot Technology courses, including slot machine systems, electronics, and troubleshooting
  • Demonstrate and assist students with hands-on lab procedures related to slot machines and electronic gaming equipment, ensuring adherence to all safety precautions
  • Develop syllabi and course materials; instruct students in accordance with established curriculum standards, industry practices, and program objectives
  • Independently evaluate student mastery of technical skills and competencies aligned with course outcomes; implement strategies to support student learning needs
  • Provide advisement to students regarding academic progression and career pathways within the gaming and electronics industry
  • Maintain and support laboratory equipment, including slot machines and associated electronic systems, to ensure effective instructional delivery
  • Attend staff meetings and participate in recruitment and outreach activities as requested
