PART TIME INSTRUCTOR POOL - PHYSICS
About The Position
The Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District is recruiting part-time faculty for its Natural Sciences department. Under administrative leadership, part-time faculty support the visions, missions, and values of the colleges and District. Responsibilities include work related to classroom assignments, student evaluation, curriculum, student advising, professional development, and assignment-specific needs. Work hours vary based on assignment. The position is less than 67% FTE, with an anticipated start date of Spring 2027. The stated starting salary range is $70.84–$86.11 (Class II, step 1 to Class VI, step 1), based on the Adjunct, Overload and Substitute Salary Schedule. The position may require long periods of standing and walking in a typical classroom setting; specific conditions may vary by subject. Applications are retained in the pool for one year, and candidates may be contacted for interviews as needed.
Requirements
- Master's degree in physics, astronomy, or astrophysics; OR bachelor's degree in physics or astronomy and master's degree in engineering, mathematics, meteorology, or geophysics; OR equivalent qualifications.
- Applicants relying on equivalency must submit an Equivalency Determination Form and supporting equivalency materials.
- Successful fingerprint clearance is required before employment.
