About The Position
The StFX University Faculty of Education, in partnership with StFX Online Learning & Professional Studies, invites applications for a Part-time Academic Instructor for Education 534: Introduction to the Foundations of Education. This course critically examines students' own practice and its context, with central unifying themes of power and privilege in education. The investigative approach includes ethical reasoning, autobiographical reflection, arts/aesthetics, deconstruction, and sociological analysis.
Requirements
- PhD or MEd
- Significant experience in the course area
Responsibilities
- Teach Education 534: Introduction to the Foundations of Education
- Critically examine students' practice and its context
- Incorporate themes of power and privilege in education
- Utilize an investigative approach including ethical reasoning, autobiographical reflection, arts/aesthetics, deconstruction, and sociological analysis
