About The Position

This job profile is only for faculty members hired to complete a short-term and/or part-time academic work assignment, such as teaching one or more courses for one or two academic terms. Wage Faculty (Adjunct) may only be paid via Period Activity Pay. The McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia invites applicants for one (or more) part-time, faculty wage (non-tenure eligible) positions in our Management Area beginning in August 2026. Each position will teach 3-9 credit hours in the 2026-27 academic year, in one or more of the following topics: Organizational Behavior, Introduction to Management / Business Administration.

Requirements

• A master's degree in Business or a closely-related field is required.
• Industry or educational experience in Management is required.
• Exceptional interpersonal and collaborative team skills.
• Desire to work in a dynamic environment that stresses teamwork, innovation, and student-centered learning.

Nice To Haves

• A Ph.D. in a relevant field is preferred.
• Previous experience teaching in a higher education setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach 3-9 credit hours in the 2026-27 academic year.
• Teach topics in Organizational Behavior.
• Teach topics in Introduction to Management / Business Administration.
