About The Position

Teach courses in the field of Social Work, delivering high-quality instruction that promotes student learning, engagement, and success. Provide timely feedback, maintain effective communication with students and university stakeholders, and foster a supportive learning environment aligned with the mission and values of Youngstown State University. Through innovative and student-centered teaching, the adjunct faculty member contributes to YSU’s commitment to inspiring lifelong learning, enhancing student futures, and enriching the communities it serves. Must be able to provide regular in-person instruction as assigned. Plans, organizes, teaches, and provides feedback to promote and direct student success. Responds to students in a timely manner. Requirements

  • Current Ohio license in Social Work.
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
  • At least an earned master’s degree in social work

Nice To Haves

  • Doctorate or PhD in social work.
  • Licensure at the Independent level (LISW/LISW-S).
