Part-Time Instructor, Mental Health/Social Work
About The Position
Instruct courses in mental health and social work, or other related courses as needed. Faculty are expected to accept assigned courses, which may be delivered face-to-face or through non-traditional venues such as evening, weekend, dual credit, blended, and/or online courses. Other responsibilities include maintaining office hours and working across departments to develop students’ communication, computation, and critical-thinking skills. Employees may not exceed 19.5 hours per week. This is a security-sensitive position. An appropriate background investigation will be conducted for applicants strongly considered for the position.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in social work from an accredited college or university.
- Teaching experience at the postsecondary level.
Responsibilities
- Instruct courses in mental health and social work, or other related courses as needed.
- Accept assigned courses, which may include face-to-face, evening, weekend, dual credit, blended, and/or online courses.
- Maintain office hours.
- Work across departments to develop students’ communication, computation, and critical-thinking skills.
