About The Position

The School of Communication & The Arts invites applications for various Part-Time Faculty positions for the 2026-2027 Academic Year. Opportunities to teach multiple/additional courses may become available. Successful candidates will teach, develop course materials, assist students as needed, and assess student work. The Video Editing course provides an introduction to the principles and techniques of video editing. Students will learn the fundamentals of editing using Adobe Premiere Pro, with supplementary instruction in Adobe After Effects and Photoshop. Emphasis is placed on storytelling, technical fluency, professional workflow, and editing history. As part of the curriculum, students complete structured preparation aligned with the Adobe Certified Professional (ACP) - Digital Video Using Adobe Premiere Pro exam objectives, developing industry-aligned skills that support academic and career success.

Requirements

  • Masters or Bachelors degree in an appropriate field, and/or Industry/professional experience.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop.
  • General familiarity with Avid and DaVinci Resolve.

  • Previous College level teaching experience.
