About The Position

Chamberlain University is seeking superior instructors with high professional standards, excellent communication skills, enthusiasm, and a commitment to providing the finest practitioner-focused education. This part-time, campus-based teaching opportunity in New Orleans, LA, is for industry professionals to share their knowledge and experience with undergraduate and graduate students. Courses meet once or twice a week for eight weeks, with a blended learning environment combining face-to-face interaction with technology. Commitment is on a course-by-course basis. The role involves teaching Nursing Students in a dynamic classroom/online hybrid setting, implementing Chamberlain College’s Care philosophy, curriculum, and course objectives, and establishing an environment conducive to student engagement. Responsibilities include planning and preparing for classes, responding to student requests, fostering student success through a flexible style and passion for teaching, engaging with a diverse student body, and maintaining accurate records, submitting grades on time, and enforcing academic and attendance policies.

Requirements

  • Earned a master's or doctorate degree in Microbiology, Biology or very closely related field with a required minimum of 18 or more graduate credit hours earned directly in microbiology.
  • Possess genuine passion for education and lifelong learning
  • Have exceptional subject matter expertise as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Are able to provide official transcripts for all earned degrees from a regionally accredited institution (or a US course-by-course equivalency evaluation for degrees earned and conferred outside of the US)

Benefits

  • The expected compensation rate for this position is between $1,120 per assignment to $7,245 per assignment, depending on the candidate’s education and experience.
