About The Position

Portland Community College (PCC) is seeking applications for Part-Time Faculty assignments in Early Childhood Education, specializing in Early Intervention or Early Childhood Special Education, at the Sylvania Campus. This is an interest pool, and applications will be reviewed as the need arises for new part-time faculty. PCC is the largest post-secondary institution in Oregon, committed to making high-quality education accessible and contributing to community economic development. The department is specifically looking for instructors able to teach ECE 234, Children with Special Needs in ECE.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Early Intervention or Early Childhood Special Education.
  • Three years, full-time equivalent, recent work experience (within the last 5 years) in the field, specifically working with children ages infant through preschool and/or families in the field of early care and education.
  • Ability to establish residence in Oregon or Washington.
  • Official transcripts required within 2 weeks of offer date for required degrees.
  • Academic credentials must be from a regionally accredited US institution or a foreign institution with equivalent accreditation.
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

  • Teach ECE 234, Children with Special Needs in ECE course.
  • Teach all ECE and HEC courses if qualifications are met.
