About The Position

This role involves completing restaurant opening and closing duties, including setting up necessary supplies and tools. It is a tipped position. Responsibilities include cleaning equipment areas, stocking, and maintaining work areas. The position requires taking customer orders, inputting them into the Micros POS system, handling payments, and providing change. Upselling food orders, communicating special requirements like allergies or dietary needs to the kitchen, and preparing food, coffee, and alcoholic beverages are also key duties. This role also involves preparing ingredients for cooking, cooking food according to recipes and standards, and assisting in Food and Beverage areas by busing tables, cleaning and resetting them, delivering food, and general cleaning. At the end of the shift, the employee will count their bank, complete cashier reports, resolve discrepancies, submit receipts, and secure the bank.

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

Responsibilities

  • Complete restaurant opening and closing duties including setting up necessary supplies and tools.
  • Clean all equipment areas, lock equipment doors, etc.
  • Set up, stock, clean and maintain work areas.
  • Take orders from customers, input orders in Micros POS system, and obtain payment and provide change.
  • Upsell customer food orders.
  • Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen.
  • Prepare food, coffee and other beverages, including alcohol.
  • Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping and storing food.
  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist.
  • Provide assistance in Food and Beverage areas including busing, cleaning and resetting tables, delivering food to guests, general cleaning of food and beverage prep areas and other areas within the lobby area.
  • Count bank at the end of shift, complete designated cashier reports, resolve any discrepancies, drop off receipts, and secure bank.
