About The Position

Warehouse/Driver associates at Famous Supply perform warehouse and driving duties. Warehouse tasks include unloading trucks, receiving and putting away material, picking customer orders, staging orders for delivery, and loading customer delivery trucks. Non-CDL drivers deliver products to customer shops and job sites using a 26-foot box truck with a lift gate. Each morning, the day’s route is uploaded to a company-provided smartphone that navigates the driver to each stop. Drivers help load their trucks, review orders for accuracy, unload materials for customers, verify deliveries, provide customer service, and complete pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections. Driver associates also assist in the warehouse when needed. Drivers handle large products such as water heaters, furnaces, and showers. The approximate schedule is Monday through Wednesday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Requirements

• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for the majority of an 8-hour day.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Acceptable driving record.
• Ability to drive a 26-foot box truck safely and effectively.
• Valid driver's license; a CDL is not required.
• Ability to use a smartphone.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and receive material.
• Put away material, pick customer orders, and stage orders for delivery.
