Part-Time Catering Cook - Weddings & Events
About The Position
Be part of the beautiful weddings and memorable events we produce. As a Banquet Cook with Wedgewood Weddings, you'll help create celebrations our clients and guests remember for a lifetime. This is catering, not a restaurant line. We know the guest count, we know the menu, and we know exactly when plates go out. It's high volume — you'll serve hundreds in a night — but it's planned volume. You'll cook with a game plan instead of reacting to one. This is a part-time, hourly role. We work when our clients celebrate, so weekend availability is required — but prep days are flexible, and we'll build a schedule around what works for you. Plenty of our kitchen leaders started right here. If you want to run a kitchen someday, you'll have the opportunity to learn ordering, inventory, food cost, and event execution alongside our chef — the whole operation, not just your station. Requirements
- Solid food handling and preparation skills
- Safety and sanitation knowledge you take seriously
- Efficiency and composure under pressure
- A team player with a "whatever it takes" attitude
Nice To Haves
- Banquet, catering, or restaurant experience preferred
- Leadership experience is a plus, not a requirement
Responsibilities
- Support the chef in executing banquets according to Banquet Event Order details and Wedgewood standards
- Prep, produce, and plate for full event execution
- Keep a clean kitchen — cleaning as you work, closing procedures, and weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual deep cleans
- Receive deliveries from approved suppliers, verifying freshness and quality
- Stock and label all food to food safety protocols and FIFO procedures
