About The Position

The Department of Sociology and Criminology at the Pennsylvania State University, University Park campus, invites applications for part-time lecturer positions. The position will involve teaching courses in Sociology and/or Criminology at the undergraduate level. Adjunct Teaching Professors are expected to teach one to two courses per semester based on College of Liberal Arts guidelines. Summer teaching opportunities may be available.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a master’s degree (Doctoral Degree preferred) in Criminology, Sociology, or a closely related field.
  • Teaching experience is required.
  • Submit a letter of application detailing relevant qualifications for the job, including a description of teaching experience and interests.
  • Submit a curriculum vitae.
  • Submit sample syllabi from courses taught.
  • Submit the names and contact information for three references.
