About The Position
Teach Principles of Sociology courses in the Department of Behavioral Sciences under the Behavioral, Social Sciences and Global Learning Division. Courses may be offered at any of the BHCC campuses, satellite campuses, partner sites, or instructional sites, including but not limited to Chelsea, Malden High School, Freedom House, and Chelsea High School.
Requirements
- Master's degree or Ph.D. in Sociology or related field
- Evidence of engagement in culturally responsive pedagogies
- Experience with high impact teaching and learning practices (examples: undergraduate research, community engagement, critical pedagogies, learning communities)
- Proven ability to work with a diverse faculty, staff and student population
- Must be available to teach at to Chelsea, Malden High School, Freedom House, and Chelsea High School.
Nice To Haves
- Community college teaching experience preferred
- Ability to read, speak, and write in Spanish or other languages is preferred
