Applications for part-time faculty positions are accepted on a continuous basis and reviewed when openings become available. Future teaching assignments are on a term-by-term basis, which may include fall, spring, and summer. Postings close yearly and to maintain your application within the system, you will need to re-apply each year. Email is the primary method that NWACC utilizes to communicate with its applicants. The Business program is seeking qualified part-time instructors to join its adjunct faculty pool. Courses may be delivered in person, online, or in a hybrid format. Teaching opportunities may be available in the following areas: Accounting, Business Information Systems, Business Law, Business Management, Data Analysis, Economics, Entrepreneurship, Marketing.

Requirements

A master’s degree in the teaching discipline or a master’s degree in a related field with at least 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline is required at the time of application.
Discipline-specific qualifications may apply based on the assigned course.

Nice To Haves

Experience with online instruction, project-based learning, service learning, or inquiry-based learning is preferred.
Relevant professional or industry experience is preferred.
Community college teaching experience is preferred.
Postsecondary teaching experience and relevant professional experience are preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepares syllabi, instructional materials, assignments, and presentations aligned with established course learning outcomes.
Delivers effective instruction using a variety of teaching methods, technologies, and relevant business applications.
Establishes and communicates clear course expectations, policies, and classroom management practices.
Assesses student learning, provides timely feedback, and maintains accurate attendance and grade records.
Uses Canvas and other college systems, including Success Planner, to support instruction and document student participation.
Communicates effectively with students and responds to student questions within established timeframes.
Meets all deadlines for submitting attendance, grades, and other required reports.
Maintains a respectful and inclusive learning environment that supports student success.
Complies with college policies and applicable academic and professional standards.
