Savannah Technical College is seeking qualified candidates for Adult Education High School Equivalency (HSE)/GED prep class instructors. This program is grant-funded and will be held at various locations. The instructor will be responsible for instructing students, developing program syllabi, goals, and objectives. They will also evaluate students’ progress, ensure student learning outcomes are attained and recorded, and maintain program certification requirements. The role involves preparing and maintaining required documentation and administrative reports, staying current with trends in the field through professional development, and ensuring classroom safety and security. Additionally, the instructor will meet with students, staff, and other educators to discuss instructional programs and issues impacting student progress. Duties include a flexible schedule of lecture, and the Adjunct Instructor must be willing to work split teaching shifts that might require split teaching days between campus locations. The instructor must fully embrace the responsibility for maintaining an acceptable number of students within this program and also work diligently to maximize positive student outcomes.
