About The Position

The Corporation of the Town of Tecumseh is currently recruiting for a highly motivated individual to fill the Temporary (up to 12 months) part-time position of Parks & Recreation Services Clerk in the Community & Recreation Services Department. This is a fast-paced customer service team oriented position that provides administrative support for preparation and distribution of department correspondence/agendas/meeting minutes, and scheduling of meetings with outside agencies and community groups. Other responsibilities include, sorting and distribution of incoming mail, records management and maintaining department databases.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in Business or Public Administration or relevant and related discipline
  • Three [3] years of responsible related experience, preferably in a municipal or public setting
  • Knowledge of general office procedures
  • Organizational skills to prioritize workloads in order to meet deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to properly communicate with the public and staff
  • Knowledge and use of office equipment
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software applications
  • Ability to work shifts as required including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in registration/scheduling software is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Preparation and maintenance of new and existing facility rental contracts
  • In-person and over-the-phone customer service for all Community & Recreation Services inquiries

  • Petty cash reconciliation
