Job Summary: The Continuous Improvement Engineer is responsible for leading the planning, execution, and sustainment of continuous improvement initiatives across the organization to enhance operational efficiency, reduce waste, and drive measurable cost savings. Leveraging Lean methodologies and advanced problem-solving techniques, this role plays a key part in cultivating a continuous improvement culture at all levels. The CI Engineer will drive the development and implementation of standardized processes and ensure alignment with operational goals. This position also provides senior-level guidance and performs select administrative functions to support the production and operations departments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Engineering, or a related technical field required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); knowledge of CAD or AutoCAD is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Health and Safety regulations, Food Safety standards, and HACCP principles.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of legislative requirements to maintain compliance with relevant statutes in food production and distribution industries.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and coordinate cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent project management, analytical, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; capable of presenting information clearly and effectively.
  • Commitment to high professional and ethical standards.

Nice To Haves

  • Health and Safety and HACCP certifications preferred.
  • Experience working in a production or manufacturing environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the liaison between engineering facilities to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Track part requisitions and manage work order (W/O) project management analysis and dashboards.
  • Administer Limble CMMS functions to optimize maintenance and operational workflows.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects focused on existing equipment and processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Analyze equipment capacity to identify bottlenecks and support resource planning.
  • Drive inventory process improvements and implement streamlined procedures.
  • Conduct research on new technologies to support innovation and process upgrades.
  • Develop and enhance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain compliance and operational excellence.
