Requirements

A valid DZ driver’s license is required with an acceptable driver’s abstract with no more than three (3) driving related convictions or an accumulation of no more than three (3) demerit points in the previous three (3) years prior to the date of hire, and/or no administrative driver license (ADLS) suspensions.
Ability to obtain a Restricted A license is required.
Candidates will be required to demonstrate their qualifications by passing a written, oral and/or practical examination, as part of the recruitment process.

Responsibilities

Operate a variety of heavy equipment and specialized machinery, specifically equipment utilized in asphalt activities including asphalt spreader and road grinder.
Operate a street sweeper to clean roads, parking lots and medians.
Install, adjust, and remove various attachments to vehicles, machinery, and equipment.
Transport heavy equipment, materials and personnel to various job sites and work locations.
Operate winter control equipment to apply sand, salt, anti-icing liquids, and to remove snow from streets, sidewalks, and facilities.
Operate equipment and vehicles of all sizes to carry out duties (e.g., front-end loaders, skid steer and/or dump trucks).
Maintain accurate and detailed records including but not limited to accomplishments, deficiencies, and actions taken.
Manually perform maintenance and repairs as required.
Other duties as assigned.
