About The Position

Seasonal Job Opening Park Maintenance Staff Multiple Positions Available | Immediate Start Hours: 16-40 hours/week (2-5 days/week) through December 23, 2026. Schedules are flexible within Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm, and will be based on employee availability and department needs. JOB SUMMARY Under the direction and supervision of the Superintendent of Parks, Parks Foreman, and/or Crew Leader, Park Maintenance Staff will perform a variety of general park maintenance, including: Mowing, trimming, mulching Help with athletic fields Tree trimming Special event setup Trash and bathroom Snow removal The Glen Ellyn Park District is a local governmental agency serving all residents of the Village of Glen Ellyn and portions of neighboring communities. Requirements

• Must be 18 or older
• Valid IL Driver’s License
• Reliable transportation to and from work
• Must be in good physical condition to perform manual labor in various weather conditions including high heat/humidity and cold
• Strong sense of safety
• Effective communication skills
• Desire to provide quality customer service
• Ability to work well independently and as a member on a crew
• Candidates will need to pass background check following an offer of employment

Nice To Haves

• Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and reliable with a strong sense of responsibility and initiative
• Previous landscaping and/or maintenance experience is preferred
• Familiarity with the Glen Ellyn area is a plus!
• General knowledge and use of hand and power tools as well as gasoline and electric powered equipment is preferred
