About The Position

As an entry-level member of Meijer’s Courtesy Team, the Parking Lot Attendant performs a variety of retail tasks related to additional store services, products, and customer service. The role involves interacting with customers and providing above-and-beyond service while helping maintain the store, its surrounding areas, and the parking lot. The attendant may also perform other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements

• Be highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Have strong listening and communication skills.
• Be able to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, and twist while handling products or using equipment.
• Be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
• Coordinate and collect trash from the parking lot, lawn, and inside the store.
• Safely use snow removal equipment to remove snow.
• Handle perishable and salvage returns.
• Perform basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Work with the service desk, store entrance, check lanes, and parking lot areas.
• Work with the Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal, and Floral departments.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required.
