About The Position
This is a temporary position overseeing the safety and security of clients in the designated parking lot in front of the AHC and across the street from our facility. This role requires excellent observation and customer service skills, with the ability to handle incidents professionally and discreetly. The position involves working both inside and outside, but will primarily be outdoors.
Requirements
- Proven experience in security or a related field is preferred.
- Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Standing, walking, and remaining actively on the move for up to 8 hours.
- Willingness and ability to work in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain.
- Willingness to work around a diverse range of animals, including large and small dogs and cats.
Responsibilities
- Monitor the assigned parking lot to ensure the safety of vehicles and individuals.
- Assist clients in safely transporting their animals to and from the building (holding leashes and carriers) from the parking lot across the street from the hospital.
- Conduct regular patrols to identify and report any potential security risks or hazards.
- Respond promptly and effectively to any security-related incidents or emergencies to the Director of the AHC.
