About The Position

This is a temporary/seasonal position responsible for enforcing parking and traffic ordinances, as well as campground fee compliance on the Homer Spit. The role involves issuing citations for code violations and collecting parking and camping fees. Employees who complete a full 5-month term of employment will receive a $1000 bonus.

Requirements

• Two years of experience requiring public contact.
• Valid Driver License.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to deal courteously and tactfully with the public.
• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
• Capable of lifting 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Enforce parking and traffic ordinances and campground fee compliance.
• Issue citations for specific code violations.
• Collect parking and camping fees.
• Respond to public inquiries regarding parking regulations.
• Assist with parking lot delineation and traffic control.
• Install and maintain signage for parking rules and information.
• Conduct vehicle and trailer impoundments under authorization.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
