Located in the beautiful Black Hills region of South Dakota, Mount Rushmore National Memorial is open year-round and operates retail shops and a variety dining outlets serving convenient grab-and-go meals and coffee. No matter what your job is, you will be a proud steward of the park and play an essential role in providing warm and friendly hospitality to all our guests. We’re hiring Parking Attendants to Live. Work. Explore. this summer! The Parking Attendant will direct guests in the parking structure and answer questions to ensure a positive guest experience.
Requirements
- Ability to provide excellent guest service.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where tasks and priorities can change quickly and with little notice.
- Willing to “pitch-in” and help the team with tasks.
- Must be a positive team player with flexible schedules who like to have fun and have the passion to work.
- Ability and willingness to work outside in various weather conditions and temperatures at elevations over 5,000 feet.
- Constantly standing, walking, and handling.
- Frequently reaching outward, and lifting/carrying up to 10-20 pounds.
- Occasionally reach above shoulder, climbing, crawling, squatting/kneeling, bending, lifting/carrying 21-100 pounds, and pushing/pulling up to 100 pounds.
Nice To Haves
- Previous hospitality experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Act as a positive first contact with guests as they arrive.
- Provide clear direction and information to guests and vehicles on where to park.
- Respond to guest questions and inquiries in a professional manner.
- Help in maintaining cleanliness and clear surfaces of parking facility area, including but not limited to booths, grounds, parking spaces, walkways.
- Act as a crossing guard at the pedestrian walkway between the parking facility and the Memorial.
- Follow proper cash handling and payment procedures.
- Follow Company and departmental environmental and safety practices, policies, and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
