About The Position

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is hiring a part-time regular Parking Attendant to support evening and weekend meetings and events at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills and the Linwood Dunn Theater in Hollywood, California. The role assists Academy members, Governors, and guests by directing traffic, parking vehicles, and retrieving vehicles in Academy parking lots and garages. The attendant helps provide a safe, organized, and welcoming arrival and departure experience for event attendees.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent certificate of completion.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing and ability to safely operate a variety of vehicles, including vehicles with automatic and manual transmissions and electric vehicles.
• At least 2 years of experience working with customers or guests in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently under high-pressure situations.
• Availability to work weeknights and weekends as needed, including overtime and late hours on short notice.
• Must work at least 60% of scheduled events per month.
• Full vaccination against COVID-19, including applicable booster vaccinations; medical and religious accommodations may be approved by the Office of People & Culture.

Responsibilities

• Direct motorists to parking areas or spaces, using hand signals or flashlights as necessary.
• Patrol parking areas to help prevent vehicle damage and property theft.
• Keep parking areas clean and orderly to maximize space usage.
• Familiarize themselves with and recognize Academy members, Governors, and staff.
• Maintain a friendly yet cordial atmosphere when interacting with guests.
• Work with Academy Security to support parking operations and emergency evacuations.
• Respond appropriately to parking inquiries or complaints.
