About The Position

The Toledo Zoo & Aquarium is seeking a part-time Park Operations Crew member to help ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of its zoological park. The role contributes to a safe and enjoyable visitor experience by providing customer service to members and single-admission guests, monitoring and facilitating exhibit experiences, and setting up and breaking down special events. The position reports to the Assistant Director of Park Operations and is non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act. Work schedules include weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Requirements

• Strong customer service skills are a plus.
• Strong communication skills are a plus.
• Ability to take direction and work independently as well as within a team.
• Ability to lift 35 pounds.
• Ability to stand for up to eight hours a day outdoors in summer heat and winter cold.
• Availability to work weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Help ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of the zoological park.
• Provide customer service to members and single-admission guests.
• Monitor and facilitate experiences at exhibits.
• Set up and break down special events.
